We take our responsibility with your data really seriously. This notice explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over your own data.
Who we are

How we use it
We use your information to:
- Process and fulfil your orders
- Keep you posted on your purchases, deliveries and any questions you raise
- Keep proper records for accounting and compliance
- Help you out and respond to feedback or complaints
- Make our website, products and service better
- Send you marketing emails, but only if you've asked us to
- Meet our legal duties, including tax and consumer law
The law says we need a valid reason for using your data. Ours are:
Contract
We need your details to process and deliver your order.
Legal obligation
For things like HMRC records.
Legitimate interests
To improve the service you receive.
Consent
When you sign up for newsletters or marketing.
Who we share it with
To run the business, we sometimes share data with trusted partners. These include our delivery and courier partners, payment providers, IT and website support, accountants and auditors, legal advisors or regulators where the law requires it, and marketing platforms where you've opted in.
Everyone we work with is held to strict data protection terms. They can only use your data securely and only for the specific purposes we've agreed.
Reviews and feedback
We love hearing from customers, and we use a third-party service such as Reviews.io to gather and display reviews on our site and social channels. Leaving a review is entirely up to you, and you decide whether your name and location appear publicly.
How long we keep it
We hold on to your data only as long as we genuinely need it, including to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. In practice that means:
Enquiries with no purchase
Up to 6 months.
Orders and customer accounts
Up to 7 years, to satisfy HMRC and tax rules.
Marketing and newsletter sign-ups
Until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
Visitor records
Up to 12 months, for health and safety.
When we no longer need your data, we securely delete or anonymise it.
Keeping your data safe
Your information is stored securely on encrypted systems here in the UK. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it from loss, misuse or unauthorised access. We won't move your personal data outside the UK unless suitable safeguards are in place.
Links to other websites
Our site sometimes links out to other websites. Once you leave PawStrong, those sites are out of our hands, so we can't take responsibility for how they handle your privacy. It's always worth reading their own policies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Put things right by correcting anything inaccurate or incomplete.
- Be forgotten by asking us to delete your data in certain circumstances.
- Restrict how we use your data.
- Object to us using your data in certain situations.
- Move your data to another organisation, or to yourself.
You can also withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. There's no fee for any of this, and we'll respond to a valid request within one month, or let you know if a complex request needs a little longer.
To use any of these rights, just email us at [email protected].
If you're unhappy with how we've handled things, you can raise it with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):
