What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves onto your computer, tablet or phone when you visit. They do a few useful jobs: they help the site work properly, make your visit smoother, and give us anonymous information we can use to improve how the site performs and how we market it.
Like nearly every website, PawStrong uses cookies and similar technologies. We use them to:
- Keep the website working the way it should
- Improve speed, functionality and security
- Understand how people use the site so we can make it better
- Remember your preferences and tailor your experience
- See how well our marketing is doing
There are also things we don't do. We don't use cookies to collect personal or sensitive information without your permission, we don't hand personally identifiable data to advertisers or other third parties, and we don't use them to pay sales commissions.
The types of cookies we use
Essential cookies keep the basics running, like remembering what's in your basket or keeping you signed in. The site can't work properly without them, so these are always on.
Performance cookies show us how visitors move around the site, for example through Google Analytics. We use this to spot what's working and what needs fixing.
Functionality cookies remember your choices, such as your region or language, so you don't have to set them again each time.
Marketing and social media cookies help us show you promotions that are actually relevant, and let you share our content on platforms like Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
Everything except the essential cookies is switched off until you agree to it.
Cookies set by other companies
Some parts of our site rely on other companies, such as embedded YouTube videos or analytics tools like Google Analytics. These providers may set their own cookies, and we don't have direct control over those. If you turn them off, bear in mind that some features may not work as smoothly.
How we ask for your permission
The first time you visit PawStrong, you'll see a cookie banner. From there you can accept or reject the non-essential cookies, and we won't set any of them until you've made that choice. Essential cookies are the only exception, because the site can't function without them.
You can change your mind whenever you like. Just open our on-site cookie settings to update your choices, or clear and manage cookies through your browser. Withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it.
Managing or turning off cookies
Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings, including blocking or deleting them. Do keep in mind that switching some off can affect how the site behaves, and certain features such as checkout may stop working as they should.
If you'd rather not be tracked at all, there are privacy tools and anti-spyware programs that automatically remove cookies they consider intrusive.
For general guidance on managing cookies, you can visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.
Links to other websites
Our site sometimes links out to other websites. Once you leave PawStrong, we can't be responsible for how those sites handle your privacy or cookies, so it's worth having a quick look at their own policies.

Changes to this policy
We last updated this policy in June 2026. We'll revise it from time to time as technology, the law or the way we work changes, and you'll always find the current version here on the PawStrong website.
